How Many Bollards and Ropes Do I need for My Event?
We hire our bollards and ropes out individually.
Our bollard ropes are 2m long if stretched straight – but if the ropes are nicely draped, allow around 1.5m span between bollards.
So, firstly, establish what length you need to cover – if you have a 10m long carpet, then you’d need 10 linear metres of bollards, for one side of the carpet.
10 linear metres divided by 1.5m is 6.67m, round up to the nearest whole number, you need 7 ropes to cover 10 linear metres. As you need one more bollard than the number of ropes, to support all the ropes (you can’t have a rope hanging mid-air) then you’d need 8 bollards and 7 ropes, to cover a 10 linear metre length.
How many Tensa Barriers do I need for my event?
The same principles apply to tensa barrier set up, except allow 1.8m span between posts for tensa barriers as the image suggests.
